2020 is the 15th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released February 10, 1969 on Capitol Records their final studio release with them. The LP was named for being their 20th overall album release. Much of it consists of outtakes from earlier albums. It reached number 3 on UK record charts and number 68 in the US. Brian Wilson was absent during most of the album's recording after admitting himself into a psychiatric hospital, requiring brothers Carl and Dennis to retrieve several. Wild Honey is the 13th studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released December 18, 1967 on Capitol Records. It was the group's first foray into soul music and was heavily influenced by the R&B of Motown and Stax Records artists such as Stevie Wonder. Lead single and opening track Wild Honey became a minor hit with only a short chart stay. Its follow-up Darlin' reached number 11. The album itself reached number 24 in the US and number seven in the UK. The record does feature a nice Top 20 hit in Darlin' even if it was a rewrite of a song that had been composed four years earlier, and recorded by Sharon Marie. The small hit single Wild Honey, with its seductive theremin lines, was also a highlight, and Here Comes the Night a group original, not the Them hit also had a lot of appeal.
