America Town is the second studio album by American pop rock artist Five for Fighting. It was released by Aware Records, a Columbia Records subsidiary, in 2000. It contains two of his most well-known songs, Easy Tonight and the Grammy-nominated Superman It's Not Easy. The album was certified Gold by the RIAA on November 1, 2001, and Platinum on October 22, 2004. The album has sold over 966,000 copies in the United States as of November 2009. Album 2000 12 Songs. A clean and bright effort that delivers some heavy themes, America Town is a very American-sounding album: drifting from song to song is like driving through the Midwest from town to town, each town offering its own stories, not all of which are happy. Five For Fighting Format: Audio CD. Five for Fighting is actually just one guy with a rather substantial chip on his shoulder who's taken his name from the amount of time a hockey player spends in the penalty box for fighting. There are only a few missed notes on this album: America Town and the Last Great American are as others have mentioned pre-911 angst whereas the slightly more hard rocking Michael Jordan just doesn't seem to fit the overall mood of the album.
