Another Time, Another Place was Bryan Ferry's second studio album as a solo artist. The album reached 4 in the UK charts in 1974. Recording took place in London at Island, Ramport and AIR studios. Like These Foolish Things, Another Time, Another Place is essentially a cover album, with the exception of the last song, which gave its title to the album and was written by Ferry. It featured a Bob Dylan song A Hard Rain's a-Gonna Fall on the former LP, It Ain't Me Babe on the latter and a standard. Another Place, The Lake gives you days together and days apart as a family, time around a table for dinner, by the pool, wild swimming or stand-up paddleboarding on the lake. Its about the good things in life having fun, eating well, letting go. book now. The hotel. 40 bedrooms span the original Georgian building and the new contemporary wing. Another Time, Another Place by Bryan Time, Another Place isn't as immediately thrilling as Ferry's solo debut, but still is a great listen. The same core band that backed Ferry up on the earlier record stays more or less in place here. If, like Roxy over the years, this collection is a touch less frenetic at points in comparison to Ferry's earlier solo stab, the opening blast through The 'In' Crowd doesn't show it. Porter's guitar rips along as intensely as Phil Manzanera's can, and the whole thing makes Dobie Gray's original take seem pretty tame. Another Time, Another Place. Bryan Ferry. Glam Rock 1974.
